SDG,

The main reason why we came there.

(2) SDG4 – Quality Education

”Education”

The workshop this session was the mind map,

“How does education influence the 17 SDGs?”

At the beginning of our project,

To tell the truth I could just understand about 60% for what they said in the session,

Though all of them spoke English to me lol

At that beginning 5 sessions,

most I just tried my best to hear what they said for their ideas,

And skipped to the next when the participant ended his/her talk.

“Do you feel the present education models are the ones feasible and needed to for the future?”

“How can we innovate education to be relevant and accessible to everyone?”

“What is the role of technology to deliver quality education for all?”

The three questions for them to think.

I remembered when I practiced for the session,

I thought these three for a long time,

Although there were thousands of ideas ran through my brain,

But none of them was the best to me. Just like now.

And the participants’ ideas of course different from each

Though I had limited memories haha

But now I would like to ask, after several months from that time,

Whether we changed the answers in our mind or not?

(3) SDG5 – Gender Equality

“What could happen to your dreams if, for some reason, you could not complete your secondary education?”

This is the question at the beginning of the workshop on the session for SDG5

Actually I thought it’s really a serious question,

If you fall into this situation to think the answer,

To us now live a life with nothing lack

The situ. made me felt scared and worried

We explained the "Gender Equality" and “Gender Parity”,

“Gender Equality”,

“Gender Parity”,

“Gender Equality”,

it talks about the same right and opportunity between boys and girls,

“Gender Parity”,

The concept is focused on the quantities, e.g. 100 boys and 100 girls are in the same school

We showed six images, all about the situations in those poor countries

And made participants to choose one which made him/her most surprised/shocked

The one which most caught my eyes and touched my heart

Was the image that its story behind the scene wrote,

That little girl in the image bcs of poor, she gave up to go to school.

Bcs she needed to take care of her new-born little brother, she gave up to go to school.

In Taiwan,

Bcs of the education policies, every child that over 6 years old must go to school,

No matter rich or poor, we are all the same

That made us hard to image the girl,

She gave up the opportunity to go to school

At the same time,

I wondered the new-born baby, the girl’s little brother,

Whether he won’t have the chance to go to school just like his sister?

Or his parents will try their best make him to have a well education just bcs his gender?

Maybe the time will tell us the answer.

We played a video that talks about a girl,

She still went to school for education at that time, but soon she may not.

Cuz her father would like to ask her to married a man she never met before,

Therefore her family will get money to live their life.

After this session,

I found my eyesight was really small,

There are lots of things I never touch and know before

The truth is, there are not only east-Asia, the Us and Europe in the world, but many many countries.

Juct bcs we live in the east-Asia, and the media industries are flourishing in Europe and the US,

Therefore most info we get just these areas.

The society may made us to see someone with distorted view passively,

But we can take it off actively, to decrease the discriminations

Not only the gender discrimination,

But the racial, nationalities, age, and etc.
